Multicultural Victoria Act 2004 - SECT 1

PART 1 PRELIMINARY

Purpose

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Act is-

   (a)  to establish principles of multiculturalism; and

   (b)  to provide for the re-establishment of the Victorian Multicultural
        Commission; and

   (c)  to establish reporting requirements for government departments in
        relation to multiculturalism; and

   (d)  to repeal the Victorian Multicultural Commission Act 1993.
