CONVERSION OF PENALTIES AND FEES IN ACTS

1. Consumer Credit (Victoria) Act 1995



1.1. In section 30(4)(b), for "$5000" substitute "an amount that is 50 times
the value of a penalty unit fixed by the Treasurer under section 5(3) of the
Monetary Units Act 2004".

1.2. In section 37F(2)(b), for "$150" substitute "15 fee units".

2. Co-operatives Act 1996

In section 453(5), for "$50" substitute "half the value of a penalty unit
fixed by the Treasurer under section 5(3) of the Monetary Units Act 2004".

3. Court Security Act 1980

In section 3(2)-

   (a)  after "Act" insert "and liable to a penalty not exceeding 10 penalty
        units";

   (b)  the penalty at the foot of the subsection is repealed.

4. Crown Lands (Reserves) Act 1978
