Office of member of council how vacated

9. Office of member of council how vacated

If a member of the council-



   (a)  ceases to hold any qualification required for his becoming or being a
        member of the council; or

   (b)  not being a member ex officio-

   (i)  by writing under his hand directed to the Chancellor of the University
        resigns his office;

   (ii) is declared by commission or otherwise of unsound mind;

   (iii) becomes bankrupt or insolvent;

   (iv) is convicted of an indictable offence;

   (vi) is removed from office-

his office shall become vacant.
