Saving of appointments and elections made out of time

40. Saving of appointments and elections made out of time

No appointment or election made pursuant to this Act shall be deemed to be
invalid by reason only of such appointment or election being made subsequently
to the time provided for in this Act and any person so elected or appointed
shall be entitled to continue in the office to which he is so elected or
appointed as if he had been elected or appointed thereto at the proper time.
