Recovery of penalties

39A. Recovery of penalties



(1) Any fine imposed upon a member of the staff of the University or a student
pursuant to the Statutes and regulations shall be a civil debt recoverable
summarily by the University in any court of competent jurisdiction.

(2) A certificate in writing signed by the Vice-Chancellor and President10 or
a person appointed by him in that behalf as to the amount of a fine imposed
upon a member of the staff of the University or a student pursuant to the
Statutes and regulations or the date on which it was imposed shall be prima
facie evidence of the facts stated therein in all courts and before all
persons acting judicially.
