MEDICAL TREATMENT PLANNING AND DECISIONS ACT 2016 - SECT 19
When is an advance care directive in force?(1) An advance care directive comes into force at the time it is signed in accordance with this Part.
(2) An advance care directive remains in force until—
(a) any expiry date that is specified in it; or
(b) it is revoked in accordance with this Act.
