Melbourne Sailors' Home (Repeal) Act 2006 - SECT 1

Purposes

1. Purposes

The purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to repeal the Melbourne Sailors' Home Act 1986; and

   (b)  to close the Sailors' Welfare Fund established under that Act; and

   (c)  to provide for the transfer of all money standing to the credit of the
        Sailors' Welfare Fund to the Consolidated Fund.
