Minister may authorise non-commercial use of protected event logos or images or protected event references

33. Minister may authorise non-commercial use of protected event logos or
images or protected event references



(1) For the purposes of this Part, the Minister may authorise a person to use
protected event logos or images or protected event references in respect of an
event to which this Division of this Part applies for non-commercial use.

(2) The Minister must not authorise a person under subsection (1) unless the
Minister has first consulted with the relevant event organiser of the event to
which this Division of this Part applies.

(3) If the Minister authorises a person to use any protected event logos or
images or protected event references in respect of an event to which this
Division of this Part applies, the Minister must cause the relevant event
organiser to be notified of that authorisation.

(4) An authorisation under this section must be in writing.
