5. Dates for submission of primary returns



(1) Every person who is a Member of the Legislative Assembly or the
Legislative Council on the 1st day of February 1979, other than a person who
declares to the Clerk of the Parliaments that he will not be seeking
re-election at the next general or periodical election of the Assembly or
Council, as the case may be, shall on or before the 28th day of February, 1979
submit to the Clerk of the Parliaments a primary return.

(2) Every Member who was not a Member of either the Legislative Assembly or
the Legislative Council in the Parliament then last past shall, upon taking
and subscribing the oath or affirmation as a Member, within 30 days thereafter
submit to the Clerk of the Parliaments a primary return.

(3) Every Member shall on the 30th day of June in each year or within 60 days
thereafter submit to the Clerk of the Parliaments an ordinary return.
