8. Corporation of City of Melbourne to be committee of management

Notwithstanding anything in this Act where, immediately before the
commencement of section 7 of the Crown Land (Reserves) (Amendment) Act 1984,
the said council was the committee of management of any land referred to in
this Act the said council shall on the commencement of that section cease to
be the committee of management thereof and the said corporation shall be the
committee of management thereof and any of the powers or duties conferred or
imposed on the said council as committee of management shall be deemed to have
been conferred or imposed on the said corporation and the said corporation
shall be deemed for the purposes of the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 to have
been appointed under section 14 of that Act as committee of management of the
land. __________________
