Payment by council of city of Melbourne to Shrine of Remembrance Trustees

5. Payment by council of city of Melbourne to Shrine of Remembrance Trustees



(1) The said council-

   (a)  shall in the month of January in each year pay to the Shrine of
        Remembrance Trustees out of the town fund (which is hereby declared to
        be available for the purpose) the sum of $450016 towards the
        maintenance of the said Shrine; and

   (b)  shall forthwith give to the Government a full and complete discharge
        from any liability under the hereinbefore recited agreement relating
        to the hereinbefore recited lands known as Treasury Gardens.

(2) The Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works shall supply and continue to
supply free of cost all water required for the lands described in Parts I, III
and IV of the Sixth Schedule.

(3) In sub-section (4) of section seven of the Melbourne General Market Lands
Act 1917 the words beginning "The sum of" and ending "Provided that" are
hereby repealed.
