Slaughter at unlicensed premises

38. Slaughter at unlicensed premises



(1) A person must not-

   (a)  slaughter for human consumption a consumable animal other than game;
        or

   (b)  dress the carcass of a consumable animal for human consumption; or

   (c)  process game or poultry-

at a place that is not a meat processing facility licensed for that purpose.
Penalty: First offence 100 penalty units. Subsequent offence 500 penalty units
or 24 months imprisonment or both.

(2) This section does not apply to the slaughter of game.
