Authority may determine application
17. Authority may determine application
(1) The Authority may determine a licence application by granting or refusing
it.
(2) In granting a licence, the Authority may specify any conditions or
restrictions to which the licence is subject, including conditions regulating
or prohibiting any activity at a meat processing facility covered by the
licence.
(3) A licence must not be made subject to a condition or restriction that is
inconsistent with an approved quality assurance program applying to the
facilities covered by the licence.
(4) Each licence is subject to the condition that the licensee must comply
with any quality assurance program approved by the Authority for the
facilities covered by the licence.
(5) If the Authority refuses a licence application, it must as soon as
possible give notice of this and the reasons for the refusal to the applicant.
(6) The Authority must issue the licence as soon as possible after granting
the licence application.
