56. Extension and application of Act

For the purposes of carrying out any function under section 55, 55A, 55B, 55C,
55D or 55E, the Board has all the powers (with any necessary modification or
extension) which the Chief Officer has in relation to the prevention and
suppression of fire or the protection of life and property in case of fire.
