Contributions towards annual expenditure

37. Contributions towards annual expenditure







(1) The sum required to meet the total amount of contributions shall be
contributed as follows-

   (a)  one-eighth from the Consolidated Fund;

   (b)  one-eighth by the municipal councils whose districts are within or
        partly within the metropolitan district out of the municipal fund of
        such municipal councils; and

   (c)  three-quarters by the insurance companies insuring against fire
        property situated within the metropolitan district.

(2) The amounts to be contributed pursuant to subsections (1)(a) and (1)(b)
shall be paid to the Board by equal quarterly payments on the 1st day of July,
October, January and April in each year.
