31A. Delegation of powers of Chief Fire Officer
(1) The Chief Officer may, by written instrument, delegate to any person by
name or to the holder of an office or position approved by the Board, either
generally or as otherwise provided by the instrument, any power or authority
conferred on the Chief Officer under this Act or the regulations or under any
other Act or regulations, except-
(a) the power to form an opinion as required by section 93(1)(a);
(b) the power, under section 87(3)(b), to determine the steps to be
required of an owner or occupier by a fire prevention notice served
under section 93;
(c) this power of delegation.
