Power to acquire land

24A. Power to acquire land



(1) In addition to its powers under section 24, the Board may acquire
compulsorily any land which it is authorized to acquire under this Act or
which is required for the purposes of this Act.

(2) The Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986 applies to this Act and for
that purpose-

   (a)  the Metropolitan Fire Brigades Act 1958 is the special Act; and

   (b)  the Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board is the Authority.
