Purposes

2. Purposes

The main purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to provide for fire safety, fire suppression and fire prevention
        services and emergency response services in the metropolitan fire
        district; and

   (b)  to establish a Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board.
