Other orders

39. Other orders

If an offence by a person against section 38 is found proven, the court, in
addition to or in lieu of any other order it may make or penalty it may impose
on conviction, may, on the application of a person who has suffered, or is
likely to suffer, loss or damage by reason of the conduct of the
first-mentioned person make such order or orders as the court thinks
appropriate against the person if the court considers that the order or orders
will compensate the person who made the application, in whole or in part for
the loss or damage, or will prevent or reduce the loss or damage suffered, or
likely to be suffered by the person.
