PART 6 MISCELLANEOUS
Delegation
65. Delegation
(1) The Chief Commissioner may, by instrument, delegate to a member of the
police force of or above the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police a power
of the Chief Commissioner to approve applications for a coercive powers order
or applications for the extension or variation of a coercive powers order.
(2) The Chief Commissioner may, by instrument, delegate to a member of the
police force of or above the rank of Commander a power of the Chief
Commissioner under section 67.
(3) Section 6A of the Police Regulation Act 1958 does not apply to any power,
discretion, function, authority or duty of the Chief Commissioner under this
Act.
(4) The Chief Examiner may, by instrument, delegate to an Examiner any
function, duty or power of the Chief Examiner under this Act other than-
(a) the power to make arrangements under section 27; or
(b) this power of delegation.
(5) The Special Investigations Monitor may, by instrument, delegate to an
employee in the office of the Special Investigations Monitor any function,
duty or power of the Special Investigations Monitor under this Act other than-
(a) a duty or power to make a report under section 61 or 62; or
(b) this power of delegation.
