6. Remote application



(1) If a member of the police force believes that it is impracticable for an
application for a coercive powers order to be made in person, the application
may be made under section 5 by telephone, fax, e-mail or any other means of
communication.

(2) If transmission by fax is available and an affidavit has been prepared,
the applicant must transmit a copy of the affidavit, whether sworn or unsworn,
to the judge of the Supreme Court who is to determine the application.
