False or misleading evidence

38. False or misleading evidence



(1) A person appearing as a witness at an examination before the Chief
Examiner must not give evidence that the person knows is false or misleading
in a material particular.

(2) A person must not produce to the Chief Examiner in accordance with a
witness summons a document or other thing that the person knows to be false or
misleading in a material particular without indicating the respect in which it
is false or misleading and, if practicable, providing correct information.

(3) A person who contravenes subsection (1) or (2) is guilty of an indictable
offence and liable to level 6 imprisonment (5 years maximum).
