Terms and conditions

23. Terms and conditions



(1) Subject to this Part, the Chief Examiner or an Examiner-

   (a)  holds office for the period, not exceeding 5 years, specified in his
        or her instrument of appointment; and

   (b)  is eligible for re-appointment; and

   (c)  holds office on the terms and conditions determined by the Governor in
        Council.

(2) If the Chief Examiner or an Examiner is appointed on a full-time basis, he
or she must not engage, directly or indirectly, in paid employment outside the
duties of Chief Examiner or Examiner without the consent of the Governor in
Council.

(3) The Public Administration Act 2004 does not apply to the Chief Examiner or
an Examiner in respect of his or her office as such.
