Service of witness summons

17. Service of witness summons



(1) A witness summons directed to a natural person must be served by
delivering a copy of the summons to the person personally.

(2) A witness summons directed to a body corporate must be served by sending a
copy of the witness summons by registered post to the head office, a
registered office, a principal office or a principal place of business of the
body corporate or to a postal address of the body corporate.

(3) If it appears to the Supreme Court that service of a witness summons has
not been or is unlikely to be effected, the Court may make an order for
substituted service.
