PART 1 PRELIMINARY

Purposes

1. Purposes

The purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to provide for a regime for the authorisation and oversight of the use
        of coercive powers to investigate organised crime offences; and

   (b)  to amend the Ombudsman Act 1973, the Police Regulation Act 1958, the
        Sex Offenders Registration Act 2004, the
        Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 and other Acts to make further
        provision for the Director, Police Integrity.
