Acting members

8A. Acting members



(1) If a member of the Council is unable to attend a meeting of the Council
and has obtained leave of the Council before that meeting, the body that
appointed that person may appoint another person qualified to be appointed as
a member to act as the member during the meeting.

(2) While the appointment of an acting member remains in force, the acting
member has and may exercise all the powers and perform all the duties and
functions of the member.
