Direction to prevail over requirement to consent

56G. Direction to prevail over requirement to consent



(1) A direction under section 56D or 56E prevails over any provision of any
other Act or law that requires the Utility to consent to the carrying out of
the work that is subject to the direction.

(2) If a direction provides for compliance with a standard in relation to a
matter, that standard applies in relation to that matter despite anything to
the contrary in any other Act or law.
