PART 1 PRELIMINARY

Purposes

1. Purposes

The main purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to establish a Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust to manage
        convention and exhibition facilities and services and to carry out
        certain other functions;

   (b)  to abolish the Melbourne Exhibition Centre Trust;

   (c)  to repeal the Melbourne Exhibition Centre Act 1994.
