Magistrates' Court Act 1989 - SECT 6

Magistrate to be in attendance

6. Magistrate to be in attendance



(1) The Chief Magistrate must make arrangements for a magistrate to attend on
the day and at the time and place at which the Court is to be held.

(2) If a magistrate does not arrive at the place at which the Court is to be
held before the time fixed for the holding of the Court, a registrar may open
the Court and adjourn all proceedings to another day or to another venue, as
directed by a magistrate.
