Seizure of registration plates

12. Seizure of registration plates

The Director or a member of the police force may take possession of any
registration plate or label which the Director or member has reasonable
grounds for suspecting-

   (a)  is being used other than in accordance with this Act and the
        regulations; or

   (b)  was issued other than in accordance with this Act and the regulations-

and may retain it until the Director is satisfied that it is not being so
used, or was not so issued.
