Council of the Museum of Victoria

47. Council of the Museum of Victoria



(1) The Museums Board of Victoria is to be taken as the same body as the
Council of the Museum of Victoria in spite of any changes to the name and
structure of the Museums Board of Victoria by this Act and no act, matter or
thing is to be affected because of those changes of name and structure.

(2) A reference in any document to the Council of the Museum of Victoria is to
be taken to refer to the Museums Board of Victoria.

(3) A member of the Council of the Museum of Victoria holding office
immediately before the commencement of section 66 of the Arts Institutions
(Amendment) Act 1996 continues to hold office after that commencement as a
member of the Museums Board of Victoria on the same terms and conditions as
those on which he or she held office as a member of the Council of the Museum
of Victoria for the remainder of the term specified in his or her instrument
of appointment.
