43. Carlton Gardens land

Despite anything to the contrary in the Order in Council dated 9 June 1973
permanently reserving land as a site for Carlton Gardens and the Crown grant
volume 600 folium 119905 dated 13 June 1873 relating to the Carlton Gardens
land adjacent to the Exhibition land, the Minister administering the
Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 and Melbourne City Council may, in addition to
the purposes provided for in the Order in Council and the Crown grant, permit
the temporary use of any part of the land referred to in the Order in Council
and Crown grant for purposes which are, or are connected with, museum or
exhibition purposes.
