Chief Executive Officer

17. Chief Executive Officer



(1) There shall be a Chief Executive Officer of the Museums Board of Victoria
who-

   (b)  subject to and in accordance with the directions given to him by the
        Board, shall have the control of the day to day management of the
        affairs of the Board.

(2) The Chief Executive Officer shall be appointed by the Board, with the
approval of the Minister, for the term, not exceeding 5 years, that is
specified in the instrument of appointment but is eligible for re-appointment.

(3) The Chief Executive Officer holds office, subject to this Act, on the
terms and conditions that are specified in the instrument of appointment.

(4) The Board must not remove the Chief Executive Officer from office except
with the approval of the Minister.
