62. Provision where defendant supported wife husband or child during any
period

Where proceedings are taken under this Part in respect of a failure to make
payments for or towards the maintenance of a person it shall be a sufficient
answer to those proceedings so far as relates to the failure to make payments
during any period if it is proved that during that period the defendant
adequately supported that person.
