Offence and defence

57. Offence and defence



(1) Any person who fails to comply with a requirement of this Subdivision or
of any attachment of earnings order under this Subdivision that is applicable
to him shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a penalty of not more than
5 penalty units.

(2) It shall be a defence to a person charged with an offence arising under
the last preceding subsection if he proves that he took all reasonable steps
to comply with the requirement or order.
