Discharge of variation of order

50. Discharge of variation of order



(1) The court by which an attachment of earnings order has been made may, in
its discretion, on the application of the defendant or a person entitled to
receive payments under the maintenance order, make an order discharging,
suspending or varying the attachment of earnings order.

(2) An order suspending or varying an attachment of earnings order shall be
served on-

   (a)  the respondent to the application; and

   (b)  the person to whom the attachment of earnings order is directed-

and shall not come into force until the expiration of seven days after the day
on which a copy of the order is served on the person to whom the order is
directed.
