Power to take proceedings

420. Power to take proceedings



(1) Save as otherwise expressly provided but without prejudice to any other
procedure any inspector of mines or person authorized either generally or in
any particular case by the Minister may take proceedings for the recovery of
any penalties for the contravention of any provision of this Act or of any
regulation thereunder.

(2) In any such proceedings until evidence to the contrary is given no proof
shall be required of the general or particular authority of such inspector of
mines or person to take such proceedings.
