Employees to inform employers of breaches of Act

416. Employees to inform employers of breaches of Act



(1) Every person employed in or about any mine shall satisfy himself of the
safety of any tubs chains tackle windlass ropes or other appliances he may use
before commencing and whilst at work, and in case of any defect or insecurity
he shall cease to use anything unsafe.

(2) Every such person who witnesses in or about any such mine any circumstance
matter or thing which may be likely to produce therein danger of any kind, and
every person who may be notified by any such person of any such circumstance
matter or thing, shall notify the same to the person (if any) under whose
immediate directions or control he may be.



(3) Every such person in sub-charge of and employed in mining operations in
any part of a mine shall on changing his shift inform the person appointed to
relieve him of the state of the workings in the part of the mine in which he
has been employed.
