406. Duties of manager as to engine-drivers' certificates

The mining manager of every mine shall so far as possible satisfy himself that
the permit of any engine-driver employed in the mine is genuine and shall
enter in the manager's record book the name of every such engine-driver and
the description number and date of the permit.
