PART 1 PRELIMINARY

Purposes

1. Purposes

The purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to establish the La Trobe University College of Northern Victoria; and

   (b)  to incorporate the Bendigo College of Advanced Education in the La
        Trobe University College of Northern Victoria; and

   (c)  to provide for the merger of the
        Wodonga Institute of Tertiary Education with La Trobe University; and

   (d)  to make various amendments to the La Trobe University Act 1964.
