Recovery of penalties

42A. Recovery of penalties



(1) Any fine imposed upon a member of the staff or a student of the University
pursuant to the Statutes and regulations shall be a civil debt recoverable
summarily by the University in any court of competent jurisdiction.

(2) A certificate in writing signed by the Vice-Chancellor or a person
appointed by him in that behalf as to the amount of a fine imposed upon a
member of the staff or a student of the University pursuant to the Statutes
and regulations, and giving particulars of the date of and the reasons for the
imposition of the fine, shall be prima facie evidence of the facts stated
therein in all courts and before all persons acting judicially.
