Application of Act

7. Application of Act



(1) This Act applies to a person appointed under section 8, 8A, 103 or 118B of
the Police Regulation Act 1958.

(3) A person or body, corporate or unincorporate, nominated by the Governor in
Council as the employer of a person referred to in subsection (1) must be
taken to be that person's employer for the purposes of this Act. The nominated
employer may nominate a representative who must be taken to be the employer's
representative for the purposes of this Act.

(4) Subject to section 83 of the Public Sector Management Act 1992, this Act
also applies to officers and employees and Ministerial officers and
Parliamentary advisers and judicial employees within the meaning of that Act
and to any person not covered by a federal award who holds a position on the
staff of a declared authority within the meaning of that Act.

(5) A person or body, corporate or unincorporate, nominated by the Governor in

being an executive officer under a contract of employment within the meaning
of Part 4 of the Public Sector Management Act 1992) must be taken to be that
person's employer for the purposes of this Act. The nominated employer may
nominate a representative who must be taken to be the employer's
representative for the purposes of this Act.
