4.4.12. Investigation to be conducted expeditiously

(1) An investigation under this Division must be conducted as expeditiously as
possible.

(2) Until an investigation arising from a complaint is completed and a
decision is made under section 4.4.13, the Commissioner must report progress
to the complainant at intervals of not more than 6 months.

(3) If a complaint has been referred to a prescribed investigatory body under
section 4.4.9, that body must give the Commissioner any information the
Commissioner requires to enable the Commissioner to comply with subsection
(2).
