Purposes

2.4.1. Purposes

The purposes of this Part are-

   (a)  to facilitate the national practice of law by ensuring that Australian
        legal practitioners can engage in legal practice in this jurisdiction
        and to provide for the certification of Australian lawyers whether or
        not admitted in this jurisdiction;

   (b)  to provide a system for the granting and renewing of local practising
        certificates.
