Land (Revocation of Reservations) Act 2007 - SECT 1

Purposes

1. Purposes

The purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to revoke the permanent reservation of the bed and banks of Lake
        Condah for the purposes of transferring that land to the Gunditjmara
        people;

   (b)  to revoke the permanent reservation and related Crown grant of the
        Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum at South Melbourne;

   (c)  to revoke a reservation for asylum purposes of land at Daylesford to
        facilitate the sale of the land;

   (d)  to revoke a reservation for benevolent asylum purposes of land at
        Beechworth and the related Crown grant to facilitate the sale of
        surplus land;

   (e)  to provide for related matters.
