27M. Effect of expiry of limitation period prior to extension



(1) The powers conferred on a court by this Division may be exercised at any
time even though-

   (a)  the period of limitation has already expired; or

   (b)  an action in respect of the death or personal injury has been
        commenced.

(2) Section 23A(5) applies, with any necessary modifications, to an
application under this Division.
