Local Government (Consequential Provisions) Act 1989 - SECT 1 

Purpose

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Act is to-

   (a)  repeal certain Acts; and

   (b)  make consequential amendments to other Acts; and

   (c)  provide transitional provisions-

as a result of the enactment of the Local Government Act 1989.
