LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1989 - SECT 250
Transitional provision—Local Government Amendment (Improved Governance) Act 2015—Inspectors of municipal administration(1) This section applies if, immediately before the commencement day, a person appointed by the Minister or the Integrity Minister to be an inspector of municipal administration under section 223A as in force immediately before that day has not concluded his or her term of appointment.
(2) On and after the commencement day, a person to whom this section applies may continue to act as an inspector of municipal administration, exercising the powers and performing the functions of an inspector of municipal administration, as in force under this Act immediately before the commencement day, until the person's term of appointment ceases.
(3) In this section—
Amending Act means the Local Government Amendment (Improved Governance) Act 2015 ;
"commencement day" means the day section 39 of the Amending Act comes into operation.
