Residents entitled to be enrolled without application

12. Residents entitled to be enrolled without application



(1) A person who on the entitlement date would be an elector in respect of an
address in a ward if a roll of electors for the Legislative Assembly was
compiled from the register of electors, is entitled as a resident without
application to be enrolled on the voters' roll in respect of that address.

(2) Despite subsection (1), a person who-

   (a)  will attain 18 years of age on or before election day; and

   (b)  had the person been not less than 18 years of age on the entitlement
        date would be an elector in respect of an address in a ward if a roll
        of electors for the Legislative Assembly was compiled from the
        register of electors-

is entitled as a resident without application to be enrolled on the voters'
roll in respect of that address.
