Disposal and acquisition of hives

51. Disposal and acquisition of hives



(1) A beekeeper must, within 7 days after disposing of any hive, give to the
Secretary notice in writing in the prescribed form of the disposal.

Penalty: 10 penalty units.

(2) A person who acquires any beehive must, within 28 days of acquiring the
hive, cancel the registered brand of the previous owner and substitute his or
her own brand.

Penalty: 10 penalty units.
